Scholarship Provision

The Mekong Kampuchea Kids (MKK) project, funded by EcoSolidar from Switzerland, provides monthly scholarships to 75 orphaned and vulnerable children, including 44 girls, to encourage and support them to access to public education from grate 1 to grate 12.

These scholarships provision help families to reduce daily expenses, allowing their children to attend school regularly and successfully graduate. As part of the scholarship program, the project also educates beneficiaries—parents, caregivers, and students—on topics such as child rights, domestic violence, child labor exploitation, the benefits of education, time management for children’s studies, and the importance of giving love and support to children and motivating them to learn.

The scholarship event is always participation from key authorities from the provincial, district, and commune levels, along with BSDA’s management and project staff.

The scholarship provision is conducted at the Apsara Center (Wat Nokor Temple) in Nokorbachey Village, Ampil Commune, Kampong Siem District, Kampong Cham Province.
