Become a volunteer and help us support the education of Cambodian youth and vulnerable children

Who can apply to the program?

At BSDA, we welcome individuals from all walks of life whether you're a recent graduate, a mid-career professional, or retired and eager to give back and to help to improve the communities abroad by using their skills.
Our programs have different time commitments and requirements. All offer the opportunity to serve Cambodian vulnerable people and make a difference in the world.
We are always looking for passionate people to help us have as much impact as possible.

If you're 18 or older and can commit to 3 to 12 months, you’re invited to be part of our mission. Volunteers staying 6 months or more receive free food and accommodation.

what are

 the benefits ?

Volunteering has a meaningful, positive impact on our community. But did you know that it can have many benefits for you too?
As Buddha said “If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path.”

Volunteering is ultimately about helping others and having an impact on people’s wellbeing.
You certainly return to society some of the benefits that society gives you.

Volunteering is the perfect vehicle to discover something you are really good at and develop a new skill.
It is never too late to learn new skills and no reason why you should stop adding to your knowledge
just because you are in employment or have finished education.

Volunteering helps you build workplace skills like teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and organization, giving you more confidence to use them in your job.

International Volunteer at BSDA from Germany

" I'm so happy with my experience at BSDA. I enjoyed to get creative with designing the lessons or reports. Teaching English helped me to build so much confidence and to get much better at speaking in front of big groups. I had an amazing time getting to know so many wonderful children and I'm so happy I got to spend so much time with them. I loved
getting to know the Cambodian culture.

I had a great year at BSDA and I would really recommend it to others."
